Choosing the right fabric is so important when it comes to Outdoor Blinds and Awnings.
Our outdoor fabrics are inspired by the colours of current Australian home exterior trends and includes some that are colour matched to popular COLORBOND® colours. As there are several fabrics to choose from be sure to consider the following when you select your outdoor fabric.
privacy + view through
There are Awning fabrics with an open and closed weave. Consider whether you need day or night time privacy. An open weave fabric in a dark colour allows the view through the fabric during the day but does allow others to see in at night.
durability
A fabric used outdoors it is exposed to the elements. Our fabrics with DURAGUARD® Fabric Protector effectively repel most stain causing agents with its proven water based, preventative formula. This fabric protection is totally invisible and has high levels of stain repellent making cleaning and maintaining the fabric so much easier.
colour fastness
Ensure the fabric you choose has excellent fade resistance to the sun. Our fabrics are tested to resist fading to ensure your Awnings remain true to the colour you selected for many years to come.

Each Awning and Blind is different in appearance and functionality and as such requires a particular fabric type in order to get the best out of them. Our consultants can assist you in choosing which fabric is most suited to your chosen product. Mesh.
Modern breathable mesh is the perfect combination of airflow and privacy. The preferred and most popular mesh fabric provides a shade cover of 95% with an open weave of 5%. This is ideal for providing protection from the sun while retaining a view. If you’re seeking total privacy then look at our mesh fabrics with a 99% shade coverage. This level of coverage will block out views and increases protection against wind and rain.
The innovative Mode Zero fabric is a modern alternative to canvas. This first true 100% mesh blockout provides complete privacy and sun protection with its zero % openness. Mode Zero reduces fabric joins for most windows because of the wide roll width of 3200mm / 320cm.
Canvas.
Canvas is the ideal choice for 100% UV blockout. Proven to reduce solar heat gain by up to 90%, naturally creating a cool and comfortable living environment.
Available in a range of widths in plain, self-striped or coloured stripe designs. Choose from a fiesta of colours inspired by COLORBOND® so you can match to your home’s existing outdoor colour palette.
Acrylic.
The versatility of 100% Acrylic and ability to reduce solar heat gain by up to 90%, makes it suitable and recommended for Folding Arm Awnings, Dutch Hoods and Canopies.
Fabric care tips.
Outdoor Awnings and Blinds are low maintenance and easy to keep clean. To maintain and preserve the life span of your Awnings regular cleaning such as brushing and hosing is recommended.
