Infused with contemporary style, the combination of Plantation Shutters + Sheer Curtains creates the ultimate refined look for this modern home.

The abundance of sunlight flooding into this contemporary home in Canberra meant Plantation Shutters were the ideal choice. The real beauty of Shutters is the ability to tilt the easy to use blades to any position, giving you complete light control.

With the windows facing east, protecting the inside of the home from the harsh sunlight was essential so Basswood Shutters were chosen.

Constructed from premium Basswood timber, the Shutters offer high UV protection and insulation properties and are tested to endure the harshest temperatures of the Australian sun. In the bay window the blades are easily adjusted to re-direct the light away from the upholstered seating to prevent fading of the furniture.

The Shutters were installed with no corner gaps, allowing for complete protection from UV damage.

The small projection on the Shutters is ideal in this space and in the hallways, as it ensures the window coverings intrude as little as possible into the interiors.

Plantation Shutters are also highly functional when used on doorways as they are fixed to the doors allowing no interference when they are opened and closed.

Designed with cut-outs, the handles on the French doors remain functional.

Sheer Curtains were introduced into the main living area to soften the minimalist look of the Shutters, creating a calm and inviting space.

The Curtains were designed with a Triple Pinch Pleat heading, creating a classic, timeless look.

The Decorative Rods complement the door handles and light fittings, ensuring a consistent style throughout the home.
