Relaxed coastal/hamptons with a touch of glamour and high end finishes. All whilst being practical for a growing family.
What made you want to renovate your home?
We wanted to make more space for our growing family and also to update the old to new.
What were the “must-haves” for the renovation?
What lessons have you learnt whilst renovating?
Everything costs more than you budget for! But you might as well do it all now.
What’s your favourite room in the renovation and why?
The bathroom and the round bath, the finishes in the kitchen – the oven, sinks, tap ware – it’s hard to choose just one!
We contacted dollar curtains + blinds mid renovation. The consultant was so helpful with all of my questions and the whole process was easy and stress free.
Was it beneficial to visit dc+b in store?
I didn’t need to – we got the whole thing done during the home consultation.
How did you find the measure + install service?
So lovely and easy!
What products did you choose from dc+b?
Sheer Curtains and Automated Blinds.
How did our products transform your home?
Incredibly! The Automated Blinds have been a game changer and a great asset. At the push of a button I can open or close all of the Blinds at once.
Did you originally know what you were after in terms of window coverings or were you seeking our advice?
I had an idea but needed the advice of a professional to bring it to life and thats exactly what i received from the dollar curtains + blinds consultant. She was able to explain the things i was unsure about to me and helped me bring my vision to life.
I want it all yesterday.
What are your top 3 design/style tips for building a house?
Open space, lots of storage, light and high end finishes.
Cushions, beautiful bedding and soft colours.
Furnish it with some high end statement pieces and mix with cheaper accessories. For example a good quality couch with some inexpensive cushions and throws.
What qualities do you look for when choosing materials, furniture and accessories in your designs?
It has to look, and feel, warm and inviting.
Are you a curtains, blinds or shutters person?
Curtains, Sheers and of course Blockout Blinds especially for bedrooms.
Some people find it difficult to decide what to do with their windows. Any tips?
Think hotel!
How do you find inspiration?
Pinterest, Instagram and my sisters!
An amazing arm chair for the nursery.
