This range competes with any high end fabric compilation in the same theme overseas and locally.

The uses with this range are endless, from curtains draping gracefully with co-ordinating pelmets to create the look synonymous with 19th  century French palaces to a modern home that requires a touch of class.  This range can be used for cushions bedding  and light upholstery and with the extensive coordinating styles and colours offered you can create a look that is uniquely yours.

Fabric is an essential part of choosing your curtains. Each fabric has its own unique characteristics and performance levels, so its important to choose the best fabric for your lifestyle. If your interested to find out more on our drapery fabric range then   Click Here

Dollar Curtains & Blinds have added the final touches to complete this new home's contemporary and cutting edge design.

The window coverings in this home situated in Mt Martha, Victoria, have been designed and installed by Dollar Curtains & Blinds Mornington team. Sheer curtains, suncreen roller blinds, blockout roller blinds and blockout curtains were all chosen and co-ordinated to finish off the interior design of this home on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

Sheer Curtains and Sunscreen Roller Blinds Ideas for Living Room

The combination of sheer curtains and sunscreen roller blinds is key to the success of this home’s interior design. In the living spaces, the sheers add softness and bring a sense of relaxation to the room whilst the sunscreen roller blinds aid the insulation and privacy. Both ensure the clients keep their beautiful water views whilst maintaining their privacy.

From the entry of the home sheer curtains frame the antique doors and the pencil pleat curtain heading gathers the fabric from the ceiling with a soft informal drape.

For the sunscreen roller blinds, the dcb designers Tempo View fabric was an essential choice. Tempo View offers UV protection, glare reduction and heat control, insulating the rooms to keep them cool in summer and warm in winter. In addition to its insulation qualities, the fabric also protects the home’s floorboards, carpet and furniture from fading.

The indirect and diffused light created through layered window treatments is essential in creating a relaxed mood. Through the kitchen and dining space, the sheer curtains add movement and allow for natural light and soft breezes into the room, creating a resort ambiance style.

Adding texture really matters in the success of a home’s window treatments and it’s applied here in the form of the finely woven sheer curtain fabrics and sunscreen blind fabrics.

In the dining area, heavy lined drapes were chosen for privacy from the side of the house to ensure complete block out and added insulation.

Dollar Curtains & Blinds Wavefold curtain heading was selected throughout the home in the living and dining rooms and master suite to create a consistent look across all rooms.

The Wavefold creates a sleek and contemporary effect when used with both sheer and solid fabrics, allowing the curtains to drape with a continuous wave, which is smooth, simple and elegant.

As well as complementing the aesthetics of this modern home, the Wavefold is also a highly practical choice. The style is easy to operate and creates a neat stack back, which allows the clients to maximize the natural light entering through the windows and leaving them with minimal obstruction to their views.

Dollar Curtains & Blinds have fulfilled the brief of delivering a master suite that is the client’s private sanctuary with the tonal hues and soft drape of the St Tropez sheer fabric.

Sheer Curtains and Blockout Roller Blinds Ideas for Bedroom

The combination of sheer curtains and blockout roller blinds provides the functionality for complete control over the room’s natural light. Opting for a blockout fabric in a roller blind provides the room darkening, privacy and insulation required for the bedroom. Together these components have created a haven the clients love to enter at the end of the day and wake up to each morning.

Dollar Curtains & Blinds can design a similar look in your home, our showrooms cover the whole of Melbourne and Victoria as well as areas surrounding Fyshwick and Mitchell in Canberra, Griffith, Batemans Bay, Merimbula and Wagga Wagga in New South Wales and Mt Gambier in South Australia.

Latest Interior Design Trends For Curtains And Drapery

Brianna Hatton - Friday, May 13, 2016

...

Here are some of the latest interior design trends, as noted by our fabric wholesaler Charles Parsons!

Curtains and drapery are extremely important to complete a look in interior design, literally pulling the curtain close on the stage of the room's decor. They finish and polish the style chosen. However, like all aspects of the interior design industry, there are trending styles that come in and out of fashion. Here's a glimpse into what this year has in store for designer curtains and drapes.

trendy curtains and drapes

Cornice boards

Decor View states this is an on-trend look that creates instant drama as they add the illusion of height. Opt for an organic look by adding wooden cornice boards above the window, or cover them in fabric as a decorative window treatment.

Nature inspired

Bringing the outdoors in is a key trend, inspired by the global focus on sustainability and 'going green'.

Fullness and layering

Layering curtains to give them added volume is a fashionable look for 2015.

"Lining and interlining are what give curtains their body and fullness."

– Suysel DePedro Cunningham

Indeed, designer Suysel DePedro Cunningham emphasised in an interview with Elle Decor that "lining and interlining are what give curtains their body and fullness."

Get the look by using lining textiles in neutral tones, such as ivory, beige or cream, so you can let the main curtain colour and pattern be the star of the show.

Metallic accents with monochrome

Shimmer and shine is here to stay, but done tastefully by contrasting them against classic black-and-white.

Rather than immersing the room in a metallic glow, opt for subtle hints of gold, bronze, gun metal or silver on your curtain rod or within the fabric itself. Some dazzling options include Zia Silver.

If you choose the curtain rod as your nod to the metallic trend, balance it with monochrome curtains like Marcello Platinum.

Embellishments

Decor View adds that a striking statement this season is to have embellishments on your curtains, either as a border pattern or stripe along the bottom.

Scalloped valances

Elle Decor notes that 1940s French Riviera chic has influenced this trend, which uses a cornice board framed in a curved scallops pattern as a valance to the curtains.

Denim curtains

Not just for flared jeans a la 1970s vibe, denim is making a comeback and it's for adorning the windows. New York decorator Katie Ridder used denim curtains side-by-side with applique Vitruvian wave scroll patterns as an embellishment, blending two trends in one.

latest interior design trends

Bring the outdoors in is the latest interior design trend. Use floral pattern curtains and plants.
